Buyer follow-up
“Just checking in” gets ignored.“Just checking in” is not follow-up. It is easy to ignore.
After a sales meeting, it is easy to send a “just checking in” message because you still want a reply. But when nothing new accompanies the message, the buyer has no reason to reopen the conversation. This video shows how to use the issue they raised, one useful idea, and a better question to make a follow-up worth answering.
The work underneath the problem
A follow-up needs a reason to exist.
Start with the issue the buyer cared about. Add one thing they may not have considered. Ask a useful question. Then, if a conversation makes sense, you have earned the right to ask for it.
Use the prior conversation as the starting point.
Give the buyer a useful reason to respond.
